I'm amazed at how the things I once thought were chores are now hobbies. I remember weeding my parents' garden and wondering how I could secretly torch the thing so I'd never have to weed again, and yet now we are actually out MAKING gardens.
Mel and I tried planting a small garden in our backyard, but since our backyard is about 5x10 and never sees the sun, it went over about as well as you would think.
So this year we decided to take a different approach. There is a field behind our house that is unoccupied, right next to our
waterfront canal. So, this Saturday being the first one in a while not being consumed by homework or other stuff, I made a quick run to home depot, and $30 later, came back with all of the gear necessary for a small 4x8 growbox. It's in an area that gets a ton of sun, so we shouldn't have any excuse this time.

I'm impressed. Our combined RS/Priesthood lesson yesterday was on gardening. I want to do it. But problem is...does anything frow in Texas? I don't know.
