New Years Resolution: Let's all be more polite

Can we all just be a little nicer this year than last year please?  I hope that now that the holiday craziness has died down, we can focus on being nicer to one another.  Every time I see someone talking on their cellphone while at a service counter I get the powerful urge to smack them upside the head and tell them to be courteous to the person trying to help them.  I would be well-served to remember this resolution.  Although I have to admit that I find myself sometimes doing the same rude things that I can't believe other people do (except talking on my cellphone while others are waiting--that's an unpardonable offense that I will work hard to never commit.  Unless I have to perform emergency brain surgery over the phone or crack the code to Blagojevich's hair.  Those are the only two exceptions to this rule).

I ran across this article from Great Britain that got me thinking about this.

This is a good resolution. I've caught myself being totally rude at work lately. It's a hard resolution to keep when people are rude to you every day... I should be better. Thanks for the inspiration.
